7-member idol group INFINITE joined hands with UNICEF for a
special campaign.
The members of INFINITE who have further broadened their fan
base across the world being labeled as ‘Musicians representing K-POP‘ have now
joined hands with UNICEF to better promote their ‘2012 Birthday Donation
Campaign‘.
The ’2012 UNICEF Birthday Donation Campaign’ launched just
last year and is a campaign where individuals donate to the organization on
their respective birthdays, gifting presents not to themselves but to children
in third world countries.
By incorporating new projects they they themselves helped
create, INFINITE plans to further enlarge the meaningful campaign this year.
UNICEF is a UN institution established to help all children
of the world, regardless of sex, religion, and race. Within Korea, famous
celebrities such as Ahn Sung Ki, Lee Byung Hun, and Won Bin are all working as
goodwill ambassadors for UNICEF.
“It’s an honor to join such a meaningful campaign,” INFINITE
remarked. “We have high hopes and expectations for this campaign, as it is one
made possible by the efforts of many different people.”
INFINITE fan members are also expressing their excitement,
as this campaign is something they too can participate in. “I’m happy to be
doing some goodwill work“, they said, along with “I’ll support you guys
together!“, and “It’s even more meaningful to be helping with INFINITE.”
The campaign will officially kick off the second week of
July, and more detailed information about the project will be unveiled through
the official ’2012 UNICEF birthday donation campaign’ website on the third week
of June.
