INFINITE reveals teaser for their upcoming Summer Concert!

After the announcement of their upcoming summer concert, ‘That Summer‘, INFINITE has revealed a teaser.

The concert is a hot item as within 15 minutes of going on sale, a total of 10,000 tickets for all five days were sold out.

Woollim Entertainment commented, “We thank all the fans for their interest in INFINITE… The INFINITE members are practicing hard to show you new sides of themselves for ‘That Summer‘ concert series.”

‘That Summer’ concert will be held from August 8th through the 12th at AX-Korea.

Rookie boy band Infinite launched their "First Invasion" with their debut mini album. Formed by leader Sung Gyu, Ho Won, Sung Jong, Woo Hyun, Dong Woo, Myung Soo, and Sung Yeol, the seven-member group is from the same company as Epik High and Nell, Woollim Entertainment. INFINITE has revealed the full PV (music video) for their upcoming third Japanese single, ‘She’s Back‘!

The single went for pre-sale on July 17th and both the limited and standard editions have managed to take first and second in ranking on Tower Records‘ pre-sales.

Woollim’s CEO makes a frightening cameo appearance on ‘INFINITE’s Ranking King’

On the most recent episode of ‘INFINITE’s Ranking King‘, the CEO of Woollim made a surprising appearance on the show.

For this week’s horror special episode, the INFINITE members were assigned the task of walking through an old Korean folk village in the middle of the night in search of five gourd bottles in attempts to be awarded the title of ‘Courage King‘.

During their search they encountered lady ghosts, ghostface, and a series of other spine chilling surprise attacks. Out of all the members, maknae Sungjong hardly showed any signs of fright, while on the other hand, the surprise attacks nearly frightened the daylights out of Dongwoo.

At one point during the episode, the CEO decided to take the matter into his own hands as he set out to scare his idol group. Although he wasn’t particularly successful, he did end up spooking Dongwoo, who fell to the group as he half cried and half laughed, saying, “Please don’t do that!”

The SBS K-Pop Super Concert on August 10th, 2012 at the Home Depot Center has announced a special treat for the fans attending the concert!

To all fan clubs and fans, this is your chance to win an opportunity to be invited to the exclusive fan meeting event with MBLAQ, SECRET, SHINee, CNBLUE, SISTAR, KARA and Girls’ Generation!

‘Hello Baby’ producer explains why B1A4 was selected for Season 6

 Boy group B1A4 was recently selected to be the new parents on season 6 of KBS JOY‘s ‘Hello Baby‘.

At a press conference for the show that took place on July 24th, producer Lim Yong Hyun explained why B1A4 was selected for the program, stating, “B1A4 is a boy group that consists of members who come from a rural area [as opposed to Seoul], and the show will not only follow the established format of the care and growth of the children, but also unveil the members’ journey into Seoul and the road they took to become Hallyu stars. I hope that everyone will look forward to the growth and development of the children, as well as the growth of the members. With this thought, I believed they would be a perfect fit for the role.”

Lim continued confidently, “All of the previous idol groups appeared on ‘Hello Baby’ when they were in the process of reaching the next important step in their career. The program became a helpful boost in that goal. I’m not bragging, but I do have pride when it comes to the show. Each of the groups have grown a lot more since appearing on the program.”

“B1A4 is in a similar situation,” Lim added. “They are in the middle of preparing for their promotions in Japan, and they have much potential to become bigger Hallyu stars. They are well-known in Korea, and we casted them because we look forward to high viewer ratings. I’ve watched B1A4′s music video and I liked it. I’m content with our choice.”

B1A4 also commented on their selection as the next group for the show, “We’ve watched many sunbae idol groups on the show and it seemed like a lot of fun. All of our members love kids. We may not become dads in the near feature, but we will definitely approach the show with father-like hearts.”

Meanwhile, ‘Hello Baby’ first aired in 2009 and featured artists such as Girls’ Generation, SHINee, T-ara, Super Junior, SISTAR, MBLAQ, and more.

‘Hello Baby’ season 6 will begin airing on July 25th.

INFINITE tops Oricon’s DVD music + combination chart with ‘INFINITIZE’ showcase DVD

INFINITE is on a roll in Japan!

Following their domination on the Tower Records pre-sales chart with ‘She’s Back‘, INFINITE has topped Oricon‘s DVD music chart and combination chart with their ‘INFINITIZE‘ showcase DVD!

The DVD contains footage of their five city showcase held in Korea back in May and was released as a limited edition in both Korea and Japan. Before even starting their official promotions for their upcoming single release, INFINITE has managed to top pre-sales and DVD sales chart on major Japanese music sites, demonstrating their rising popularity in the country.

INFINITE and other celebrities send Jung Hyung Don congratulatory wreaths for restaurant opening

With the opening of comedian Jung Hyung Don‘s new Hamburger restaurant, many celebrity friends sent in congratulatory wreaths.

Defconn posted on his twitter, “Yesterday, idol celebrity INFINITE sent a wreath to Hyung Don’s Hamburger shop,” along with a photograph.

The photograph revealed the wreath the boy group sent, which revealed their witty note of support saying, “Beat McDonalds hahaha“.

Jung Jae Hyung who formed a duo with Jung Hyung Don during MBC‘s ‘Infinity Challenge‘ wrote “Hamburgers that taste better when you’re not in a good mood”, words reminiscent of the lyrics of Jung Hyung Don and Defconn’s new song. On the other hand, ‘information bank Kim Jae Dong‘ jokingly wrote, “We cannot forget about the poor lives now forever asleep in between the bread buns.”

Earlier today, pictures of the many other wreaths sent by celebrity friends were revealed online gathering the attention of Netizens. The notes sent with the flowers displayed each celebrity’s witty wordplay and sense of humor.

Noh Hong Chul wrote, “Baby milk powder fund fighting! First with Tonkatsu and now with hamburgers. -Handsome Noh Hong Chul”. Popular girl group After School‘s note stated, “We hope your restaurant becomes as big a daebak as the size of your stomach” and was sent along a rice wreath, while B2ST‘s Doojoon playfully wrote, “Hyung.. Actor Kwak Do Won snaps a photo with MBLAQ’s G.O. on the set of ‘Phantom’

Actor Kwak Do Won recently revealed a photo taken with MBLAQ‘s G.O. from the set of SBS‘s ‘Phantom‘.

The actor posted the photo above onto his Twitter with the description, “We’re the Cyber Investigation Team 1 since this morning.”

The two stars are currently busy filming the popular Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Phantom’. Kwak Do Won plays the character Kwon Hyuk Joo, also nicknamed ‘Mad Cow’, who helps Kim Woo Hyun (So Ji Sub) in capturing Jo Hyun Min (Uhm Ki Joon).

On the other hand, G.O. plays the role of Lee Tae Kyun, a former cyber security program developer of a gaming industry who became a special investigator after his talents were recognized. Having shown his ability to portray a variety of emotions and thoughts of his character, G.O. has been earning praise from viewers.

Upon seeing the two photos, netizens commented, “Both are looking cute“, “I can’t believe the drama is almost over“, “They seem to be enjoying the filming“, and more.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon is an ‘entertainer-dol’ on ‘Running Man’

MBLAQ member Lee Joon has impressed viewers with his strong presence as both a talented idol and a hilarious entertainer.

The July 22nd episode of SBS‘ ’Running Man‘ featured special guest MC Jung Jae Hyung, as well as Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, 2PM‘s Nichkhun, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, B2ST‘s Doojoon, CNBLUE‘s Yonghwa, T-ara‘s Eunjung, and ZE:A‘s Siwan. For this episode, the ‘Running Man’ cast faced the idol guests in the ‘Running Man Olympics’.

Among the idols, Lee Joon particularly shined with his wild attitude. Not only did he impress with his speed during the race, but he also surprised TV viewers with his midair split while playing volleyball on a trampoline.

Despite Lee Joon’s humorous efforts to soar to higher heights using his flexibility, he continued to miss the ball, leading his team to lose points. Just as cast member Lee Kwangsoo is often regarded as the “hole” in the ‘Running Man’ cast, Lee Joon became the same kind of character for his own team. His ‘springy’ sense of shamelessness, however, seemed to amuse his teammates rather than anger them.

During the bell race, Lee Joon further entertained viewers as he delivered a variety of reactions: being mindful of covering his armpits, posing in a silly fashion, and engaging in a chase with cast member Gary.

In the end, Lee Joon encountered the almighty Kim Jong Kook, aka Sparta Kook, letting out a horrified shriek and ditching his sanity in his panic. Lee Joon’s surprised expression after having suddenly run into ‘the capable one’ of ‘Running Man’ drew out many laughs.

After seeing Lee Joon fumble on the show, viewers commented, “Of course, [it's] Lee Joon. He never lets [people's] expectations down,” “If [ZE:A's] Kwanghee and Lee Joon came out together, I would believe in [their entertaining abilities] and watch,” “I laughed a lot because of Lee Joon’s expressions,” “I knew he was wild. In other news, MBLAQ completed the Seoul concerts of ‘MBLAQ Asia Tour’ on the 22nd and 23rd at the Olympic Hall.

B1A4′s Gongchan undergoes surgery, removes kidney TT TT

It has been reported that B1A4‘s maknae, Gongchan, iscurrently recovering after receiving a kidney removal surgery on the morning ofJuly 23rd.

According to Gongchan’s doctor, “Gongchan was diagnosed withcongenital narrowing of his ureter, leading one side of his kidney to notfunction at all. Therefore, we decidedon a surgery to remove one of his kidneys.”

The group’s agency, WM Entertainment, stated:

“During promotions for ‘Sleep Well, Good Night’, Gongchanhad complained of pains in his side. After receiving a complete medical checkupat the hospital, it was revealed that his kidney was not functioning well.However, Gongchan had a strong desire to continue with promotions and receivesurgery after the group’s activities, so we decided to delay his surgery.Whenever Gongchan experienced pain, he’d receive painkillers and continue withpromotions. He always had a bright smile while thinking of his fellow membersand his fans, making his medical condition unaware to the public. Gongchan hadpersonally asked to keep the news of his surgery quiet because he did not wantto cause unnecessary concern for his fans.”

Gongchan is currently recovering after a successful surgeryand will be hospitalized for a week. The idol will be able to return to hisdaily activities after being discharged from the hospital, but will need toavoid promotional activities for the time being.

Meanwhile, B1A4 concluded their album promotions and are nowbusy with their individual activities. The group will also be showing off adifferent image through KBS‘s ‘Hello Baby‘, airing on July 25th.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon does a split in mid-air!

MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon left the ‘Running Man‘ cast in awe, as heshowed of his jaw-dropping flexibility on the July 22nd broadcast of the LondonOlympic Special of SBS‘s ‘Running Man’.

On this episode of ‘Running Man’, the cast went up againstseven idol group members including, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk, MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon,2PM‘s Nichkhun, CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa, ZE:A‘s Im Siwan, T-ara‘s Eunjung, andB2ST‘s Yoon Doo Joon.

The two teams competed against each other in a variety ofactivities testing their athleticism, one of which was playing a game ofvolleyball on a trampoline.

As the ‘Running Man’ cast and the idol group team beganwarming up for the volleyball game, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon surprised the cast withhis astonishing flexibility, as he did a full split in mid-air multiple times.Siwan also showed off his superb athletic skills, as he flew up into the air onthe trampoline and performed a back flip.

SHINee talks about sharing concert dates with MBLAQ

At the July 22nd press conference for their concert, ‘SHINeeWORLD II‘, SHINee explained that they had wanted to attend fellow boy groupMBLAQ‘s concert.

During the press conference, a reporter asked, “MBLAQ iscurrently holding a concert at the same time as you are. Do you feel like theyare your rivals in any way?” to which SHINee responded, “We’re very close tothe MBLAQ members. We have actually been talking a lot about their concert.”

They continued, “We invited MBLAQ to our concert, and inreturn, they invited us to their own. But we discovered that it was being heldat the same time as ours, so we were really disappointed.”

Member Jonghyun added, “That’s why we joked amongstourselves that we should end our concert quickly and go see the MBLAQ concert,”showing just how close the two groups are.

SHINee, currently wrapping up their Seoul concert, will headto Taipei, Singapore, and major cities in Asia to continue their tour.

Infinite’s Sunggyu performs with Baby Soul and Dongwoo on ‘Immortal Song 2′

Interest in Baby Soul, who performed with Infinite‘s Sunggyuand Dongwoo, has skyrocketed.

On the 21st, Sunggyu performed on KBS 2TV‘s ‘ImmortalSong 2′for the summer special. He remade Cool‘s “Womanof Beach”along with fellow member Dongwoo and newcomer Baby Soul.

Baby Soul, who is signed with Woolim Entertainment withInfinite, showed off her amazing vocal skills and stage manners to thecrowd. Baby Soul has been steadilygaining a reputation by featuring in songs like Infinite H‘s “Crying” andhaving Wheesung feature in her song “No Better Than Strangers“.

She also gained interest when she came on SBS‘s ‘RunningMan‘ as one of the school girls on a past episode. She is said to be a memberof the upcoming girl group from Woolim Entertainment.

INFINITE for Cosmopolitan: “We want to stay together as seven”

INFINITE participated in a sporty photo shoot as well as an interview for the August edition of Cosmopolitan.

The members are currently dealing with a busy schedule due to their upcoming 5-day concert starting on August 8th. When asked whether they were tired from concert preparations and their otherwise hectic schedule, the INFINITE members stated that they received a lot of strength from fans. Tickets for the concert sold out in 15 minutes.

During the interview, Hoya commented on leader Sunggyu, who’s been receiving attention for his powerful vocals and variety skills, “He is an amazing leader with a strong sense of responsibility and leadership. Even if his pronunciation may be off sometimes.” Sungjong added, “He used to be scary when we were trainees, but not anymore. As leader, he tries to brighten up the mood at times by making jokes, but sometimes his jokes get out of hand and affect tempers.”

Woohyun discussed the members’ attitude about dating: “It’s difficult for all of us because we’re not the types to go up and talk to someone first. Although we may be at the age [to want to be in relationships], we’re just too busy. We’re enduring with the love from our fans.”

The INFINITE members also unanimously agreed that they each have the same dream, “We hope to always stay as seven and grow as musicians [together].”

INFINITE’s ‘She’s Back’ ranks #1 and #2 on Japan’s Tower Records pre-sales chart!

INFINITE has surprised both fans and Japanese music officials with their latest achievement on the Japanese pre-sales charts!

Their third Japanese single, “She’s Back”, opened for pre-sales starting July 17th. Despite there being over a month left until the album’s official release, both the limited and standard editions have managed to take first and second in ranking on Tower Records’ pre-sales!

It’s an exceptional case for the same album to take the first two spots on the chart, and has definitely surprised music representatives while also letting them know of the high anticipation fans have for the boys.

The limited edition of the album also ranked second on HMV’s pre-sales chart, further signifying the support the boys have been gaining.

The boys’ first single, “BTD”, had recorded 70,000 units in pre-orders last year and earned hot attention from the press even before their debut while their second single, “Be Mine”, ranked second on the Oricon.

The boys are definitely on a roll, as they’re also scheduled to hold an arena tour seating 60,000 fans along with increased activities all over Asia, starting with a fan meet in Thailand on July 28th.

“She’s Back” will be released in Japan on August 29th.

INFINITE’s Woohyun cast in Hyomin’s upcoming drama ‘The Thousandth Man’

INFINITE‘s Woohyun will be making his acting debut through MBC’s ‘The Thousandth Man‘ alongside T-ara‘s Hyomin!

Scheduled to begin broadcasting next month, Woohyun recently confirmed his casting for a role in the drama, marking his first acting endeavour since his debut. Although it is not yet clear whether this will be an extended appearance or a cameo as there are very few details released, it is confirmed that Woohyun will be making an appearance.

A representative of the drama stated, “Woohyun is showing confident acting skills unlike a rookie. We trust that he’ll do well alongside Hyomin as another rising idol turned actor.”

Hyomin had previously tweeted, “Got caught right when INFINITE’s Woohyun and I were done grocery shopping,” along with two pictures of the two, raising much interest from fans. Many had speculated that the photos may be from the filming of Hyomin’s new drama, and their speculations have now been confirmed!

‘The Thousandth Man’ is a fantasy mellow drama about a gumiho (nine tailed fox) who must eat the livers of 1,000 men in order to become a true human being. Hyomin, who plays the role of the gumiho, has finished consuming 999 livers before she chances upon a man she truly falls in love with but must still work to obtain his liver to live.

Others who will be appearing in the drama include Kang Ye Won, Lee Chun Hee, Seo Kyung Suk, and more.

INFINITE’s Sunggyu to leave ‘Immortal Song 2′ due to overseas promotions

INFINITE‘s Sunggyu will be leaving “Immortal Song 2” due to overseas promotions. The July 16th filming of the KBS program was the main vocal’s last.

Sunggyu became a fixed cast member of  “Immortal Song 2”  this past May along with Super Junio’s Ryeowook. He’s the second INFINITE member, after Woohyun, to appear on the show.

The last broadcast of “Immortal Song 2” with Sunggyu as a contestant will be a summer music special, featuring Lee Saung Eun and Lee Sang Woo, airing on the 21st. Sunggyu first appeared on the program on the Yang Hee Eun special with “A Love that Cannot Be”, and went on to impress in later shows with Yoon Il Sang‘s “Wave” and Hyun Chul’s “With the Star in My Heart”.

In related news, INFINITE will open ‘INFINITE Concert That Summer’ in Seoul on August 8.

Preview for B1A4′s ‘Hello Baby’ Season 6 revealed

Earlier in the month, it was reported that boy group B1A4 was cast as the main characters of KBS‘s variety show ‘Hello Baby’ Season 6. Now, a preview has been revealed.

In this season of ‘Hello Baby’, two 5-year-old “children” will be participating with B1A4. The two children are expected to bring a new kind of entertainment to the show with their regional accents and sweet personalities.

‘Hello Baby’s sixth season with B1A4 will start broadcasting on July 25th.

IU goes to MBLAQ’s concert, says she wants to do another concert

IU shared her feelings after attending MBLAQ’s concert on July 21st.

She wrote on Twitter,

‘I went to the MBLAQ concert with my mom and trainee friends! I was so jealous that boy groups can arouse so many screams just by the flicker of a hand keke! Ah I want to do another concert!’

IU has been friends with MBLAQ member, Chundoong (Thunder), ever since they were both trainees at Loen Entertainment and have also filmed music videos with both Chundoong and Leejoon.

Her fans, upon seeing this post, commented, “I’m expecting another one of your unplugged concerts” and “I will be expecting the flicker of your hand at your encore stage”.

Sandara Park snaps a backstage photo with MBLAQ

Just yesterday, MBLAQ held their ‘2012 MBLAQ “The BLAQ% TOUR‘ at the Olympic Hall.

2NE1‘s Sandara Park who attended the concert in support of little brother Chundoong, revealed a photo she took backstage with the members of MBLAQ on her Me2day.

Sandara expressed her excitement saying, “I just got back from the MBLAQ concert! Before the concert I went backstage~ These boys aren’t just handsome on the outside but also have sweet personalities! They’re so so nice and polite, it put me in such a good mood! Their performance was great too! Chundoong said hi to me twice while on stage! And Mir made eye contact with me! I won the lottery today!”

Sandara Park and Chundoong are smiling next to each other, while the other members Seungho and Mir are making funny faces and striking the ‘V pose’.

Netizens who came across the picture responded, “I can feel just how much Sandara Park cares about Chundoong“, “Witnessed: Little brother lover lovesick over MBLAQ“, “They’re the supreme sibling team“, and more.

Sandara Park and B2ST send wreaths in support of MBLAQ’s concert

After successfully completing the first day of “THE BLAQ% TOUR” in Seoul, MBLAQ‘s agency J. Tune shared the above photo and tweeted “Thank you to all the fans who attended and let’s have fun today also!”

The photo was of the congratulatory wreaths sent to MBLAQ for their concert and it looks like Thunder‘s very own big sister sister Sandara Park (Dara) and boy group B2ST sent in their wreaths.

Sandara’s wreath had a very affectionate message for her younger brother, “Chundoongah~ I love youuuuuuuu~”. Sandara also didn’t fail to take the opportunity to dub herself “The big sis who’s pretty even with her hair half shaved off”, referring to her new hairdo for 2NE1′s comeback.

MBLAQ releases highlight video of ‘The BLAQ% Tour’ in Bangkok!

In addition to carrying out various activities in Korea, the boys of MBLAQ have also been traveling around Asia for their ‘The BLAQ% Tour‘. The boys have finished up their concert at the latest stop of the tour in Bangkok earlier this month, and in the midst of getting ready for their Korean performances, J.Tune Camp has just released a video containing some highlights from the boys’ stay in Bangkok.

The footage follows the boys around as they attend various events and contains commentaries from the boys themselves as they express their surprise and gratitude for the amount of love and support they have received from their Thai fans.

MBLAQ’s Mir shares a photo of his mom & sister

MBLAQ‘s Mir shared a recent photo of his mother and sister.

On July 20th, Mir shared the photo above via his personal Twitter page and wrote, “My mom and older sister. Still wants to live like a high school student.”

Mir’s sister actress Go Eun Ah is already well-known to highly resemble her brother, especially after chopping off her locks for a past drama. And upon seeing the photo, fans realized the siblings inherited their good looks from their mother.

“Both women are so beautiful,” netizens wrote after seeing the photo, along with “They both look exactly like their mom“, and “I can see Mir and Go Eun Ah in their mother.”

"Fake" B1A4 Debuts in China II

Earlier on, “B1A4 and 决胜团 (Fighters),”was posted on an online community forum, becoming one of the most trending topics in Korea. And 决胜团 (Fighters) was accused of copying group B1A4. Some netizens actually argued that they shouldn't be copying Korean Stars, B1A4, and they are copying everything. The compilation of photos at the side even showed that they have the same costumes, accessories and album covers, etc, exactly the same as B1A4. However, some netizens fought back and claimed that their song was original and they shouldn't be accused of copyrighting B1A4.In fact, some even claimed that the style of B1A4 seemed to actually suit 决胜团 (Fighters) better.What do you think? "Fake" B1A4 Debuts in China?

A Chinese boy group is being accused of copying group B1A4.

Recently, a post titled, “B1A4 and 决胜团 (Fighters),” was posted on an online community forum, becoming one of the most trending topics in Korea.

The post features a compilation of photos, comparing the two groups. The photos include the group’s costumes, accessories, album covers and hompage images, showing remarkable similarities.

Especially, the hot pink shirts, polka dot pants and paper crown seem strikingly similar, drawing speculation that the Chinese group may have followed B1A4’s every concept.

Netizens commented, “They look exactly the same”, “Even looking at the outfit it’s undeniable” and “It’s great Korean singers are gaining popularity but they shouldn’t straight up copy everything!”

MBLAQ releases “Phantom (We Were Both In Love)” for ‘Phantom’ OST

Every OST track released from SBS drama series ‘Phantom‘ has consistently swept the charts, and the formal OST album has officially been released.

Idol group MBLAQ lent their voice to sing the title song “Phantom (We Were Both In Love)“, a medium-tempo track with a concise and appealing orchestra-led melody. The song is a project by Kim Ji Soo, the producer of Busker Busker and Ulala Session‘s new albums.

This song is stirring much interest, as it showcases the wide musical range of idol group MBLAQ who until now has chosen to perform strong electronic dance hits.

INFINITE announces their Japanese arena tour

INFINITE has announced that they’ll be going on an arena tour in Japan!

Through their official homepage on July 16th, the boys unveiled the list of tour dates for their arena tour, which begins this October in Yokohama. Following Yokohama on October 27th and 28th, the boys will be traveling to Nagoya on November 1st, Kobe on the 3rd and 4th, and finally Fukuoka on the 11th.

In total, they’ll be traveling through four cities for a total of six concerts, but considering their rising popularity both in Korea and Japan, fans can expect additional concert dates to be added.

INFINITE has experience selling out three concert dates September of last year in Japan in addition to their Korean and Japanese concerts this year.

The boys have a busy year coming up, as they’re also scheduled to hold their ‘That Summer‘ at the AX Hall next month. Tickets have already sold out for the upcoming concert series as well.
