MBLAQ has announced that they’ll be starring in ‘Idol
Manager’ simlultaneously with their sixth album comeback this fall!
There have been many sightings of the boys filming for the
show, and now the official announcement has been made confirming MBLAQ as the
new stars of MBC Every1’s ‘Idol Manager’, an idol variety show that follows the
lives of idols around the clock for 24 hours. The show is said to be an
upgraded version of 2010 variety show, ‘Idol Maid’, featuring B2ST.
Scheduled to begin airing on August 17th, three female
managers will be acting as paparazzi as they follow around the boys as they
carry out their schedules and day to day activities, to dig deep and find any
hidden sides to the boys.
Mir stated, “MBLAQ has been on a lot of variety programs in
the past, but I think this program feels the most fresh out of all of them. I
think it will be fun for both our members and the viewers since the premise of
following an idol group around for 24 hours hasn’t been done before. Please
look forward to it.”
Lee Joon added, “It’s an honor that our industry seniors
will become our new managers. We’ll work hard so that it’s an enjoyable filming
for everyone.”
PD Lee Hyun Joo also stated, “We’re looking forward to how
the new entertainment managers and the members of MBLAQ will interact together
in this new variety program that combines entertainment, music, and
documentary.”
